Job Description

Located in Richmond, BC, we are a manufacturing company of Exhibit Display systems and seek an individual to perform construction cabinetry type and general construction duties as well as general warehouse duties.


The position offers a wide variety of duties lending opportunities to individuals who enjoy performing multi-tasks. Constructing of displays including laminating, painting, routering, repairing, finishing, etc. of both wood and metal extrusion systems, organization of warehouse, shipping/receiving duties including completing paperwork for shipments, organizing inventory upon receipt of goods. Preparing displays, graphics, etc. for clients. The installation and dismantle of displays at various locations.

The Ideal Candidate will have the following attributes:

- Minimum 2 years cabinet making skills/experience and or finishing carpentry

- Self motivated and driven

- ability to follow instructions and take initiative

- Health and safety conscious

- Willingness to learn

Must also be willing to "do whatever it takes", be able to work both independently and as a team player, pay attention to detail and have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, customer service skills and above average problem solving skills.

Position is available immediately on a Part-time basis and may lead into full time.

Requirements:

Proficiency with wood working tools and equipment, knowledge of cabinetry and or light construction, able to construct from drawings/blueprints and work to fine tolerances.  Familiarization with warehouse aspects, forklift operation and shipping/receiving procedures.

Pay attention to detail and be well organized for time management as projects are time sensitive. Fully capable of working unsupervised in a proficient and productive manner.

Must be willing to work occasional evenings and or weekends as required.


Valid BC Driver's Licence (Clean licence).

Capable of lifting upwards of 60 lbs.

Forklift and light warehousing experience.

Additional Comments:

Regular working hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with occasional overtime, evening or weekend hours required for projects.

Position would not work well for anyone with back or knee problems.
