KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 

• Experience with electronic engines and aftertreatment repairs.

• Experience with Eaton, Dana and Spicer.

• Experience with electrical diagnosis.

• Familiar with software diagnostics such as Davie 4, Insite, ESA, BENDIX, Service Ranger or equivalent.

• M.V.I. Certified.

 

EVERYDAY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all truck systems.

• Write and type service reports.

• Assist in training apprentice mechanics in the trade.

• Perform high quality work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and factory standards.

• Analyze customers’ complaints, diagnose cause of any malfunctions and perform repairs.

• Perform all repairs safely.

 

RELATED SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend to ensure effective communication with employees and customers.

• General computer and software diagnostics skills.

• The ability to withstand work related deadlines and pressures.

• Must be able to sit, kneel, lift, walk, lay, and carry for extended periods.

• Must be able to operate a motor vehicle.

• Own Toolbox and tools required.

 

 EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma.

• Red Seal Qualification in Commercial Transport or Heavy Duty Equipment Technician with truck experience.

• Minimum class 5 drive license but class 1 or 3 is preferred.

• Able to travel to the US for technical training
