This position is a hybrid role based in our Mississauga office with the opportunity to work 2 days remotely per week

The Pricing Manager will be responsible for overseeing and effectively manage the Canadian pricing functions, including activities such as profitability analysis, bid desk management, associate purchase program, new account set-up and other reporting and general analysis functions. This individual is also expected to design, discuss and implement Canada-made initiatives or leverage global best practices to enhance current local pricing practices. By creating strong relationships with the Commercial teams and working cross functionally, the Pricing Manager will effectively lead, measure and coordinate success of new initiatives and team activities to achieve both divisional and company objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Development and implementation of pricing and profitability focused initiatives designed to optimize revenue, drive improved margins and achieving other business objectives.
  • Day-to-day management of the company's pricing methodology, practices and programs
  • Responsibility for sales specific analytical support and reporting
  • Establish and foster strong relationships with Sales, Product Marketing and Finance. Communication of key initiatives and progress to Senior Management.
  • Management of daily pricing operations, price setting, changes, customer / product assignments, competitive trends, data mining, Volume Price Agreements
  • Lead the development and evolution of the Pricing methodology, processes and systems to drive increased margins and achieve business objectives. This will require the creation of synergies and consensus between several departments.
  • Comprehensive reporting, tracking and analysis of pricing operations from transactional to Senior Management levels
  • Lead the production and management of regular and ad-hoc reporting and analysis including prioritization, requirements definition, roll-out
What you bring to the role:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or Finance.
  • An experienced pricing professional with 5+ years of progressive pricing experience.
  • Experience with IT equipment, software and services, including SaaS, on-premise licenses would be an asset.
  • Great interpersonal skills to collaborate with different individuals across the organization and the ability to implement ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment to leverage global pricing teams, manage competing priorities, and adhere to tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
  • Highly organized, exhibits high levels of attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of SAP, Magellan and OneStream is an asset.
  • Must be advanced in Excel and other MS Office applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
