The Opportunity
The Marketer & Community Liaison plays a key role in promoting WorkBC services and building strong relationships with community partners, service providers, and employers in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows. This role focuses on increasing awareness, driving client and employer engagement, and enhancing the visibility of WorkBC through outreach, events and strategic marketing initiatives.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED :
This is a full-time contract position (40 hours per week) based at the Maple Ridge WorkBC Employment Services Centre, and requires travel within the lower mainland. Must be able to work flexible shifts. Shifts are typically Mondays-Fridays from 9:00am-5:00pm, but may include occasional evenings until 6:30pm and some weekend work for special events.

The Opportunity
The Marketer & Community Liaison plays a key role in promoting WorkBC services and building strong relationships with community partners, service providers, and employers in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows. This role focuses on increasing awareness, driving client and employer engagement, and enhancing the visibility of WorkBC through outreach, events and strategic marketing initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Community Engagement & Partnerships:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community agencies, local businesses, training institutions, and other stakeholders;
• Represent WorkBC at job fairs, networking events and community functions to promote services;
• Gather and share labour market intelligence through participation in employer networking events, business and industry associations, chamber of commerce and city economic planning committees;
• Assist with job placements, promotion of wage subsidies and other work experience opportunities for WorkBC clients;
• Plan and coordinate outreach events and initiatives to raise awareness of WorkBC programs;
• Coordinate Job & Career Fairs and Employer Hiring events;
• Collaborate with the Centre Manager to implement marketing and outreach strategies aligned with the Centre's Business Plan and WorkBC's marketing plan;
• Monitor and report on outreach performance, ensuring goals are met or exceeded.
• Work with the Training Group's Marketing and Communications team to create promotional materials for internal and external audiences;
• Increase awareness of WorkBC services among job seekers, employers, and community partners, with a focus on participant recruitment;
• Collaborate to ensure content for the Centre's social media channels is relevant to boost engagement and visibility;
• Track and analyze marketing activities and provide statistical and narrative reports to identify successful initiatives to inform future marketing efforts.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of Douglas College's Quality Management System ( ISO 9001:2015);
• Perform other duties as required to support Centre operations and community engagement efforts including staff coverage during vacation and absences.

• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, target driven environment with shifting priorities;
• Flexible schedule, available for occasional evening and weekends;
