Industrial Millwright

Express Employment Professionals - Delta is recruiting for Industrial Millwrights for our clients in Delta and  Richmond. This is a full-time direct hire position. Our client is well respected leader in high quality custom manufacturing.

SUMMARY:
Qualified candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on all machinery in the plant.

DUTIES:
** MUST have 5 years experience as a ticketed Millwright
** MUST be able to work on and assemble large machinery and other types of equipment
** MUST be able to troubleshoot complex repairs and installation to ensure a timely repair or set up of machinery and equipment
** Machine gear box overhauls
** Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions
** Responsible for performing standard maintenance on large overhead cranes
** MUST have experience on diesel, gasoline and propane powered forklifts

EDUCATION:
** Grade 12 or equivalent
** Trades Certification (Proof of certification/credentials is required)
** Red Seal endorsement is preferred or the willingness to challenge for the red seal endorsement

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
** Ability to communicate effectively in English: writing, reading and speaking

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
** MUST be able to lift or move 50 - 100LBS
** MUST be able to work at different heights (NO fear of heights)
** MUST be able to work in a fast paced environment and be able to prioritize
** MUST be flexible to work over time and some weekend work as required

OWN EQUIPMENT:
** Safety footwear (CSA Approved)
** Safety Glasses w/side shields

Pay Rate: $32 to 36/hr + extended medical + vacation
